11. memoriala Vasje Pirca in 14. mednarodnega turnirja
ŽŠD Maribor ŠK Piramida
1. Turnir se igra v počastitev spomina na velemojstra Vasjo Pirca (19.12.1907-3.6.1980), ki je bil dolgoletni član ŽŠD Maribor in daje možnost slovenskim igralcem, da se izkažejo v mednarodnem merilu in osvajajo norme mednarodnih mojstrov in velemojstrov.
2. Turnir bo potekal v dvorani Mestne občine Maribor na Grajski ulici 7 v Mariboru (nad Kinom Partizan) od 17.-23.2.2003.
3. Turnir se igra 9 kol po Bergerjevem sistemu z igralnim časom 90 min+30 sek na potezo. Poteze se pišejo do konca partije.

Turnir je VII. kategorije FIDE s povprečnim ratingom 2404 točke. Za VM normo je potrebnih 7 točk za IM normo pa 5.5 točk. Za igralki je turnir XV. kategorije in norma za velemojstrico znaša 4.5 točke, za mednarodno mojstrico pa 3 točke. Na podlagi Rp lahko igralci Luka Lenič, Tadej Sakelšek, Markus Ragger in Jana Krivec osvojijo IM normo s 5 točkami.

6. Skupni nagradni sklad znaša 1.250.000 SIT.
7. O boljši uvrstitvi odločajo naslednji kriteriji:
- večje število točk
- boljši rezultat proti zmagovalcem
- boljši Sonneborn-Bergerjev koeficient
- medsebojni rezultat
- večje število dobljenih partij
- dodatna zlata partija za 1. mesto (beli 5 min, črni 4 min in dovolj remi)
8. Glavni sodnik tekmovanja je Aleš Drinovec, mednarodni šahovski sodnik, njegov namestnik je Branko Vadlja, mednarodni sodnik, pomočnik pa Ljubiša Krstič, državni šahovski sodnik.
9. O pritožbi na sodnikovo odločitev odloča turnirski odbor, če prejme pisno pritožbo v roku ene ure po končani seansi ob kavciji 10.000 SIT, ki se v primeru ugodne rešitve vrne. Turnirski odbor sestavljajo: Vojko Musil (predsednik) in dva predstavnika igralcev ter dve rezervi.
10. V igralnem prostoru ni dovoljeno kajenje in uporaba mobilnih telefonov. Če je kršilec igralec se mu odvzame 10 min časa za razmišljanje, gledalca pa se odstrani iz igralnega prostora.
11. Igralci potrdijo pravilnik s podpisom ob žrebu.

Pirc Memorial Tournament and 14th Int. Tournament of the ZSD Maribor SK
Piramida
1.
Tournament is played in memory of the grandmaster Vasja Pirc (19 December
1907-3 March 1980), who was member of the Maribor Chess Club for long period.
The tournament gives also the opportunity to Slovenian players to show their
chess knowledge in international competition and to offer them chance to win IM
and GM norms.
2. The
event will take place in the playing hall of Municipality Maribor at Grajska
ulica 7 in Maribor (above Cinema Partizan) from 17 - 23 February 2003.
3.
Tournament will be played 9 rounds round robin with playing time 90 min+30
seconds per move per player. Moves have to be recorded until the end of the
game.

Tournament
with rating average 2404 points is ranked as category VII FIDE tournament. GM
norm is achieved by gaining 7 points, IM norm by 5.5 points. The tournament is
of category XV. for women participants and the norm for wGM is 4.5 points, the
norm for wIM is 3 points. The following players can achieve IM norm by their
performance rating (Rp>2450) at 5 points: Luka Lenic, Tadej Sakelsek, Markus
Ragger and Jana Krivec.

7. Final
ranking is determined after the following criterions:
- Score
- Koya system (better score against players
with score over 50%)
- Sonneborn-Berger System
- Results among players with the same score
- More wins
- Additional sudden death game for the first
place (white with 5 min, black with 4 min and draw to win)
8. Chief
Arbiter is Mr. Ales Drinovec, International Arbiter, his deputy is Mr. Branko
Vadlja, International Arbiter and Mr. Ljubisa Krstic, National Arbiter as
assistant arbiter.
9. Written
complaints against arbiters decision with 10.000 SIT of deposit fee are
received by Appeals Committee until one hour after the finish of the games.
Decisions of the Appeals Committee are final. Player receives deposit money
back in case of his claim is granted. President of the Appeals Committee is Mr.

10. Smoking
and use of mobile phones in the tournament hall are not allowed. 10 minutes
will be deducted on player's clock and the spectator will be asked to leave the
playing hall.
11. Players
agree with these regulations by signing it after drawing of lots.
